Andy Brotherton – Guitars
All sounds have a context. As well as playing concerts, I create music and soundscapes for film, radio, advertising & other contexts. Over more than 4 decades I have been lucky to play blues in Peru along with native instruments, jazz in Russia & have sent multi-layered guitar tracks on request to Australia. Live improvisation at the Edinburgh Festival for a one man production of Franz Kafka’s A Report to an Academy. Songwriting in the USA (currently with Seattle based singer-songwriter Ravi Mantena.
Of course I’m also very happy to sit with just a guitar playing live. I also love teaching people the guitar in all styles, as well as some bass, keyboards/piano, ukulele, programming, recording & song writing. I’ve mentored many now well established players, producers, teachers & sound technicians.
