Where music originates inside is a constant search. After 50+ years of playing I find myself with a guitar and an amp. And nothing else save for myself of course. It’s no longer the fingers doing what I want that preoccupies me any longer. Neither is it music theory or reading, or any aspect of the common elements that gain so much discussion. They appear like distractions.
Simplicity not much else is always present in good music and that is what I seek while playing the guitar nowadays. Beauty in tone for example I find to be a worthy focal point.
